I thought this was a nice summary of some key marketing ideas from the guy that “wrote the book“, Philip Kotler.

I’m not sure I’m understanding these slides correctly, are the top labels (Mind-Heart-Spirit) listed in order of importance? If so, I’d re-arrange so the Emotions come first. I thought we are driven primarily by emotions and least of all by logic?

Companies like Google and Apple illustrate that if you win people’s hearts their minds will follow.

I understand (I think) the first 2 top labels Mind and Herth. If you’re able to provide customers with a product/service that realize their aspirations and satisfies their needs, then you’ve the big chance to achieve the success creating value innovation (innovation not for itself but that creates value for your customers/stakeholders). Maybe Apple could be a good example for that, but not the only one.

I think the third top label is something new and could be the real differentiation for the future, because, if all of we don’t start to think about it, the future could be worst than the past. But my feeling is that I’ve not yet totally understand what does it mean and probably the same is for almost every company.

Could be perhaps Current TV be a good example in this direction?
