Why You Need SOPs by Darth Vader
SOP can stand for two things:
- Standard (or Standing) Operating Procedure is when the work is performed in a standard way with repeatability and reproducibility.
- S**t On Paper is what most locations have. That is stuff written down to satisfy some auditor or used to justify punishment but otherwise is ignored or doesn’t reflect the realities of the process.
Which category would this Darth Vader SOP fall into?

Perhaps they should have conducted an FMEA?
